    Mazda Rev It Up Tour

Mark your calendars for exciting Friday, July 25 activities... MSCW reservations open soon.

Mazda's Rev It Up tour... in each city, Mazda clubs in the surrounding area will be invited to attend as VIP guests on media day. Track time (autocross time) in the Mazda 6 and an opportunity to share space with Miata Magazine to promote their local clubs to the public will also be made available to them throughout the weekend. Miata club members who wish to continue to participate throughout the weekend with the general public can do so for the same nominal fee the public will pay. One competitor from each zone will earn the opportunity to go to California and try their luck on Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca. Online registration.

The Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) RX-8 Press Tour began in the Washington DC area Wednesday, when a number of local area journalists were able to sample several of the great new rotary offerings for a few hours in Gaithersburg, Maryland through Mazda's DC area press fleet organization. On Thursday afternoon, Mazda Executives brought the tour to the Fort McNair military base in Washington, DC for the benefit of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Members of the SAE were kind enough to invite Mazda Club of Washington members to the function, where we were allowed to sample the cars at the base for a few hours prior to attending a dinner with several high level officials of MNAO and the society members. Special thanks to Thad Ring & Dan Ryan for arranging this function and the invitation. Thanks also to MNAO executives: Weldon Munsey, Jay Tolstoy and Jeremy Barnes.

The 23 year old Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington (MSCW), Inc. is an association of Mazda automobile owners. Originally formed in 1980 as the RX-7 Sportscar Club of Washington and independent Washington Metro Chapter of the former RX-7 Club of America. Since 1985 we have been a Mazda marque club reflective of ALL MAZDA models. In 1991, we also became the Capital Chapter of the former Miata Club of America, subsequently the former Miata Owners Club. Membership is open to all Mazda vehicle owners.
Our mission is to increase the enjoyment of owning and operating Mazda vehicles through the sharing of information, knowledge and experience of our members. Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Socializing starts at 7:00 pm - meeting at 7:30 pm. Annual membership is $25, click here for membership benefits.
